Temperatures made it back into the 90s with sunnier conditions returning to the Ozarks. A few showers and thunderstorms did manage to pop up close to a front that's slowly settling south across Southern Missouri. The front will lift north through the area on Thursday with hot and mainly dry weather following.
The front will lift northeast across the Ozarks on Thursday. This will focus a risk for a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms east of Hwy. 65. Temperatures will creep a little higher with low to mid 90s to the west and upper 80s to low 90s to the east.
An upper-level ridge will dominate the pattern Friday through the weekend. Friday and Saturday look hot and mostly dry with highs in the mid 90s. Moisture will be increasing from the south on Sunday bringing a few isolated showers and thunderstorms to areas to the south.
Rain chances will creep higher on Monday as moisture continues to increase. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s. The upper-level ridge will break down by Tuesday and Wednesday with a front approaching from the north. The result should be more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity. Afternoon highs will fall back into the mid to upper 80s.
