Cold air mass is here, highs struggle for freezing mark today —
The cold front from overnight is through with northwest winds and temperatures cold.
Clouds will be slow to clear behind the front, hanging onto cloud cover through noon, more sunshine by dismissal.
Despite some sunshine, highs will be cold! Cold air mass settles in place so highs will get stuck at/ below freezing.
Mostly clear skies tonight, quiet and cold with lows in the 20’s.
Tomorrow we’ll have increasing clouds as a weak disturbance passes through, a few flurries are possible with no impact/ accumulation.
This disturbance will drag with it another, reinforcing shot of Arctic air. Highs around freezing occur early in the afternoon with tumbling temperatures falling through the 20’s late in the day.
Overnight lows will plummet into the teens and single digits with wind chills at/ below 0 degrees on steady northwest winds.
Cold conditions hang around Friday and Saturday with a chance for a few flakes and cloud cover.
South winds kick Arctic air out on Sunday bringing sunshine and warmer middle 40’s. The warm-up will be very brief. Another strong cold front comes through with rain/ snow on Monday. Temperatures will fall from 40 degrees through the 20’s on Monday. Lows on Monday night plummet into the teens again. Highs on Tuesday will be frigid — 20’s with sunshine!
