The hottest weather of the year settled into the area today, and will continue through the weekend.
A hot, summer pattern has set up across the midsection of the country. This will keep the area basking under summer sunshine through the weekend.
The mornings will start warm and clear. Temperatures will quickly warm each day, topping out in the low 90s each day through the weekend. The heat and humidity will lead to a few afternoon clouds, but rain chances will remain near zero through Saturday.
A few spotty showers or thunderstorms may be able to get going by Sunday afternoon, but most areas will remain dry.
Conditions through the weekend will be ideal for enjoying area lakes, rivers and pools. Just be mindful of the heat, and don’t overdo it if some outside work has to get done.
The pattern will remain unchanged through Monday, but the upper level ridge will flatten out a bit by Tuesday. A stronger chunk of upper level energy should impact the area Tuesday into Wednesday. This will lead to better rain chances.
