Pleasant again today, small storm chance tonight

Pleasant again today, small storm chance tonight ---

A stormy Saturday with a cold front passage gave way to much less humidity with a drier air mass on Sunday. Humidity stays low today giving way to a pleasant day across the Ozarks.

An upper-level low to our west is tracking east this morning. This will give way to a few more clouds this afternoon, expect partly cloudy skies across the area. Dew points stay in the 50's, keeping the air mass pleasant and dry. With not much humidity to work with, I'm not expecting any showers/ storms this afternoon.

Highs will stay warm and pleasant in the lower to middle 80's. High in Springfield 84 degrees, average is 80 degrees.

Tonight that upper-level low will nip us to the southwest. An isolated storm is possible southwest of Springfield in extreme SW Missouri and NW Arkansas. Most will stay dry. Lows tonight will be pleasant again in the lower 60's.

Tomorrow will be a nice day! Mostly sunny skies with highs in the middle to upper 80's. 86 degrees in Springfield will still feel pleasant with dew points around 60 degrees, humidity stays comfortable for one more day.

By Wednesday heat and humidity start to build again as a ridge of high pressure (warm pattern in the jet stream) builds to our southwest. Highs make it back up towards 90 degrees with increasing humidity and mostly sunny skies.

The high pressure is not forecast to actually sit over the Ozarks, instead, it will sit just to our southwest with a northwest flow in the jet stream constantly filling into the Ozarks. This means that while it will be hot and humid, we'll have a constant highway of upper-level storms passing through with the jet stream not to far overhead.

This pattern will give way to isolated storm chances Thursday and Friday, and scattered storm chances Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures stay hot throughout, with temperatures around 90 degrees through Sunday.
