Isolated storm chances today & tomorrow

Isolated storm chances today & tomorrow ---

After a weekend with a brief break in humidity, heat and humidity continue to surge into the Ozarks today.

Moisture increases in the area today, it will continue to feel increasingly muggy. A weak disturbance could pop a few, very widely scattered, showers/ storms after 1 PM, much like Sunday. Any storms should wrap-up by sunset. Lightning will be the biggest hazard, no severe weather is expected.

Highs today will continue to warm again with temperatures in the upper 80's and lower 90's.

Partly cloudy, warm, and muggy conditions linger tonight. Lows drop into the lower 70's.

Tomorrow will be a wash-rinse-and repeat of today. A few isolated to widely scattered showers/ storms will be possible in the afternoon/ evening. Most areas stay dry. Any storms wrap-up by sunset and no severe weather is expected.

Highs pop into the lower 90's yet again.

By Wednesday another summer-time ridge of high pressure, that dome of heat and humidity that has been all too common so far this summer, pops into the Ozarks again. High pressure will clear out rain chances, leaving mostly sunny skies through the weekend.

Highs will start to turn hot again, temperatures in the middle to even upper 90's through Sunday. With humidity, heat index values will approach 105 degrees to 110 degrees. Another round of Heat Advisories may be needed later on this week.
