Much colder today, brief warm-up Tuesday & Wednesday —
A cold front passed through overnight with a few clouds, no rain or snow. However, the front is ushering in a colder air mass. After a beautiful, mild weekend, highs only make it into the 30’s today!
Mostly sunny skies, high 36 degrees in Springfield, a good 20-30 degrees colder than yesterday!
Clear, calm, and cold tonight! Clear skies and calm winds will help lows tumble into the upper teens, 19 for a low in Springfield.
Tomorrow, winds shift to the south and start to get a bit breezy. Expect southerly gusts 25-30 mph and mostly sunny skies. Combined, both the sunshine and wind will help us warm up more efficiently, highs around 50 degrees.
We’ll continue with our warming trend on Wednesday, highs make it to around 60 degrees on a south wind and sunshine.
By Thursday a cold front comes through the Ozarks. We could see some light rain and snow mixing in the afternoon. Any accumulations will be very light to none at all.
Temperatures will be cooler by Thursday with more clouds as the front passes, highs in the lower 40’s.
Sunshine behind the front on Friday, but highs will be on the cool side around 40 degrees.
We’ll keep seasonal 40’s through the weekend. The next chance for a rain/snow mix looks to be overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.
