Warmer sunshine today, storms return Wednesday night —
High pressure is sitting just to our southeast with a low pressure up to our northwest. That will put us with southerly winds right in the middle, gusty at times.
South winds will be steady today at 10-20 mph, a few gusts up to 30 mph are possible. We’ll have mostly sunny skies with warm highs in the low to middle 70’s, much warmer than the weekend!
Tonight we’ll stay mild, no frost threat. Lows only drop into the low to middle 50’s.
Tomorrow will be breezy and warm again. Southerly winds could gust to 30 mph with mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle and upper 70’s!
Another warm and breezy day on Wednesday will be the last before another strong cold front. Clouds increase on Wednesday ahead of the front, but we’ll stay dry in the afternoon with warm highs in the upper 70’s. Humidity will also increase, with dew points in the 60’s it will feel a bit sticky!
The cold front approaches late in the evening and overnight with showers/ storms likely. With humidity and wind energy increasing, some storms could be strong to severe with a day 3 Slight Risk in place. For now, it looks like large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding will be the main hazard but we may have to keep an eye on an isolated tornado threat. Please stay tuned to the latest forecast!
The front comes through on Thursday with cooler highs in the 50’s under some clouds and scattered showers.
Sunshine returns Friday but highs stay cool around 60 degrees.
Warming trend returns this weekend with highs in the 70’s on Easter Sunday.
