Police respond to shooting in West Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A neighborhood dispute over an alleged theft ended this morning with the shooting of a Springfield man in the 2500 block of West Lincoln Street.

Police spokeswoman Jasmine Bailey said the police call about 10 a.m. was in response to a reported assault.

One man is suffered serious injuries, she said, but is expected live.

Another man is in custody in connection with the shooting, Bailey said.
