GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — On Wednesday, March 18, Governor Mike Parson announced the first death caused by COVID-19 in Missouri. The person died in the Columbia-Boone County area.

According to Brian Treece, Mayor of Columbia, the person tested positive on Tuesday, March 17.
