Texans Spoil Mahomes KC Debut

KANSAS CITY, Mo–The Patrick Mahomes era kicked off Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium.

At least the exhibition era.

Mahomes and his Chiefs taking on Dylan Cole and his Houston Texans.    

And Mahomes would play the first quarter, his first pass of the game was a first down to Travis Kelce, who was tackled by Missouri State’s Dylan Cole.

But Houston would strike first, Brandon Weeden hits Jordan Akins with a six yard touchdown it’s 7-nothing.

Mahomes did not throw a touchdown or an interception, but got sacked here.  

He was 5 of 7 for 33 yards.

It’s 14-nothing end of the first half when KC’s backup Chad Henne hits Demarcus Robinson with this 24 yard touchdown pass it’s 14-7 Texans at the half.

It was 17-10 Houston late when Chiefs fourth string quarterback Chase Litton led a 97 yard drive and on fourth and goal  his pass is incomplete and Houston wins 17-10.
