SPRINGFIELD, Mo–Missouri State will kick off it’s 2016 football season in 13 days at home against Southwestern college out of Kansas.
In our Bear Nation report, Dave Steckel and his Bears met with reporters for Media Day Friday.
Photographers took pictures of the coaches and players for game day publications.
Missouri State is coming off a 1-10 season which saw them go winless in the FCS Valley Conference.
But Stec’s Bears return 15 starters and 39 players with game experience.
Stec says there was no major change in the plans following 2015.
“I’m the same guy. I’m like Popeye. I am who I am, and that’s who I am,” said Stec. “We are just going to keep moving forward. We put a plan together as a coaching staff, and we are going to stick to the plan. It’s all about building and working. The kids are really doing a great job of doing what we are asking them to do. The next plan is to get better.”
