Springfield Slumping At The Wrong Time

SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Springfield Cardinals and Tulsa Drillers are tied for first place in the Texas League North with six games left to play. The last three games are head to head in Tulsa.

Wednesday night Springfield hosted Arkansas while Tulsa was battling Northwest Arkansas.

The Cardinals flashing the leather early, Chuck Taylor squibs this to third, Jacob Wilson with the barehanded grab and to first for the out.
            
Then Springfield pitcher Zac Gallen strikes out Chris Mariscal looking at strike three. One of his four strikeouts on the night.
              
Arkansas breaks the scoreless tie in the sixth, Willie Argo hammers this to left, it stays fair and it’s gone, a solo shot it’s 1-0 Travs.
              
Wilson had an outstanding night in the field, check this out, Dario Pizzano slices this foul ball, toward the stands, Wilson gets there for the basket catch, still 1-0.
               
But Arkansas gets more in the second, Seth Mejias-Breen lines this off the Eliezer Alvarez, Ryan Casteel and Tyler Marlette both score, Cards lose 3-0.
               
Tulsa crushed the Nats, so Springfield back into second place.
