Panthers Fall at Home to McKendree


There was a big-time volleyball game at Drury Tuesday night, with the 14-2 Panthers hosting the McKendree Bearcats, who came in at 11-3.

Both teams are in first place in their respective divisions in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

And Drury would attack from the opening serve, Panthers get it to Bentley Mara on the near side for the kill.

McKendree did not back down, Amanda Geiger with a little off-speed tap at the net to make it 6-3 Bearcats.

McKendree won the first two sets 25-18, 25-22. Drury took the third set 25-19.

But McKendree took the fourth and won the match three games to one.
