One week ahead of the 2018 season kickoff, Nixa hosted two Class 6 teams, as Kickapoo and rival Ozark took the field for a three-team jamboree.

Kickapoo junior quarterback Cross Elmquist connected with Travis King for a 55-yard touchdown pass on the Chiefs’ opening drive against Ozark. Tigers junior Tucker Moeller evened the score with a 2-yard run.

On the final play of Nixa’s scrimmage with Kickapoo, sophomore running back Kolyn Eli broke through the line and bounced outside for a 53-yard touchdown.

On the final play of the night, Nixa quarterback Jake Uber lofted a deep ball for Dylan Ayres, who nearly scored but fell at the two-yard line.

In Week 1, Nixa will play at Carthage, Ozark travels to Neosho and Kickapoo opens on the road at Lebanon.
