NFL Says “No” To Duvernay-Tardif’s “MD”

KANSAS CITY, Mo–Well the no fun league is at it again.

According to TVA sports in Canada, the National Football League has denied Laurent Duvernay-Tardif’s request to have “MD” put after his name on the back of his jersey.

Duvernay-Tardif graduated from med school last month and becomes the first NFL player to have earned a medical degree since the mid 50’s.

And he wanted to put “MD” after his name on the back of the red and gold jersey.

Duvernay-Tardif is hoping a swell of public opinion will change the league’s mind.
