MSU Bears Swept By Sycamores in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, In — The Missouri State Bears are happy that the calendar month has turned the page.

In the month of April, the Bears fell short in 8 of their 16 games. To put into perspective, they have only 14 losses on the entire year. They have lost 6 of their last 7.

Bottom of the 1st, Missouri State 1-0, and their defense steps up. The 6-3 double play ends the inning.

Matt Dezort would lead off the 3rd inning, trying to get some more offense going. He slides into 2nd base safely.

Jeremy Eierman would finish it would finish it with this deep sacrifice fly to center, as Dezort scores. That made it 2-0.

But the Sycamores would battle back, scoring 2 runs in the 3rd and 2runs in the 6th to complete the sweep, winning 4-2.

The Bears will return home on Tuesday with a Super Regional rematch, against Arkansas.
