SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Drury Lady Panthers started their third week of number one yesterday. The latest NCAA D-II coaches poll came out and Molly Miller's Lady Panthers remain the nation's top ranked team. Drury also received all 24 first place votes. The Lady Panthers are 23-0 this season and have an extra days rest this week because of the GLVC schedule. Drury will be at Rolla on Saturday.

Last Saturday against Missouri St. Louis, the lady panthers forced 40 turnovers and had 22 steals in the game. Drury won by 33 points.

The Lady Panthers have five regular season games left and Miller says there is a lot to work left to do.

"Good teams play solid, come in and do what they're supposed to do. Great teams are going to fix the details and focus on the details. So those little things that can put us over the edge. It's really pretty nit picky and we put it under the microscope. And they're really embracing that which is nice. They want to fix everything. And every possession will be important down the stretch. We beat up on each other a lot at practice. So if we can execute down the stretch and stay focused on the details. We want to do that for 40 minutes," said Miller.

In Columbia last night, Mizzou holds off a late Razorback rally to win 79-78.

Jeremiah Tilmon led the tigers with 21 points and five boards. Daniel Gafford had 26 points and eight rebounds, Arkansas had the ball at the end, but could not get a shot off. Mizzou wins its third straight game against Arkansas in Columbia.

Believe it or not, spring is here. Well spring training that is.

Both the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals opened their spring training camps yesterday.

The Royals are in Surprise, Arizona while the St. Louis Cardinals are in Jupiter, Florida.

For both teams pitchers and catchers were required to report yesterday. The position players will officially report next Monday, but a number are already in camp.

The first official workouts are slated for bright and early this morning.

The Cardinals will welcome Paul Goldschmidt as their new first baseman. The Royals added outfielder Billy Hamilton to the roster.

Opening day for both teams is March 28, the Royals are at home to the White Sox. The Cardinals are on the road at Milwaukee.
