Missouri State’s soccer teams kicks off the season, and the Springfield Cardinals start their final homestand series. Here’s you Tuesday moring Sports Report.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State soccer Bears were on the home pitch Monday night facing Cal State-Fullerton.
It was the first home match of the season for the Valley’s defending champions.
The Bears were looking for a 2-0 start to the season
Titans applying pressure early, Robert Coronado slips his way into the box.
But Conor Ingram there to poke it away and stop the attack.
Later on in the half, Ingram looking for a chance of his own.
Beats the defender, but can’t get enough on the shot Paul-Andre Guerin scoops it up easily.
Bears would get another chance with under 20 minutes left in the first half.

Norwegian freshman Aadne Gikling Bruseth steps up to take it and slips it in the back corner for his first career goal, Bears up 1-0.
But this match ended in a 1-1 tie.
TULSA, Ok–The Springfield Cardinals wrapped up seven game road trip in Tulsa Monday night.
And the Drillers strike in the bottom of the first, Jacob Scavuzzo takes this over the fence in left, a two run shot it’s 2-nothing.
Springfield cuts that lead in half in the third, Johan Mieses with the drive to center, over the outfielder’s head, Tommy Edman scores it’s 2-one.
Springfield rallies to win 5-3.
The Cards return to Hammons Field Tuesday night and Michael Wacha will be making a rehab start.
