Molina Earns Roberto Clemente Award

St. Louis Cardinals star Yadier Molina earned baseball’s top humanitarian honor Wednesday, as Major League Baseball announced the catcher will receive its Roberto Clemente Award.

MLB recognized Molina for his service in his home of Puerto Rico, where he delivered supplies and donations for locals after the devastating Hurricane Maria in 2017.

The 15-year veteran worked 14 straight days after the 2017 season on his home island, and with his foundation raised nearly a million dollars for hurricane relief.

MLB will honor Molina before Game 2 of the World Series Wednesday in Boston.
