COLUMBIA, Mo–The school up North has a completely different attitude going into Saturday’s season opener.
Barry Odom is starting his second year at the Mizzou helm and will be trying to build on last year’s 4-8 disappointing season.
Like Stec, Odom comes from the defensive side of the ball. But it’s the Mizzou offense that’s the veteran unit.
Ten starters return for the Tigers including quarterback drew lock who threw for more than 3,000 yards and 23 touchdowns a year ago. Like Stec, Odom is expecting an emotional game.
“Well there is an element of unknown for every first game for both sides. You want to make sure you are prepared for any situation that you are going to be in. I am ready to get to the game here and I’m ready to go play really well. I have great respect for Stec. He’s a friend. He is trying to beat me, so that is about how I feel about it,” said Barry Odom.
