COLUMBIA, Mo–The Mizzou Tigers hit the practice field in Columbia for the first time this season Friday.
Barry Odom’s Tigers are looking to keep the momentum going after winning the last six regular season games and finishing the season 7-6.
The Tigers went to a bowl game and returns a number of players from that campaign.
The biggest is senior quarterback Drew Lock who has 33 consecutive starts and is trying to get into the Heisman Trophy discussion.
Mizzou kicks off the season September first against Tennessee-Martin.
“This is as fun as I’ve had for two hours in a long time. We have a long ways to go. But this group is excited to get out here just like everyone else in the country was today. For practice one. But the process and the mission we’re on to go get better as a team for the next practice opportunity that we have,” said Odom.
