SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The high school football season kicked off this past Friday and the 8th ranked team in class five the Glendale Falcons have a new coach Mauk on the sideline.
Mike Mauk has been the head coach the last four seasons. While his son Ben Mauk has been an assistant coach. Now Mike Mauk’s other son, Maty Mauk will join the team as another assitant coach.
Maty was a quarterback at Mizzou until he was released from the team in 2016. Reports in May said that Maty was hoping to play in the CFL. But now he is going to be in Springfield with his family, coaching the Falcons.
“Yeah we are excited about him. Him and Ben are working with our offensive coaches. He’s excited about being apart of our program and what we are doing. So it is good to have him working with our quarterback and working with Ben as well. He got married and things change when you get married. We are excited he is here. I don’t know what a day will bring but right now we are glad he is here coaching with us,” said Mike Mauk.
