Lady Bears Look to Make a Run in Final Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mo–With just two games left in the regular season, the Missouri State Lady Bears are in race to the valley title with three other teams.

Leading the pack is Northern Iowa with a 13-3 record. Then it’s Missouri State, Drake, and Southern Illinois right behind the Panthers with a 12-4 record.

Missouri state picked up their 12th conference win Saturday taking care of Wichita State 74-45. Leading the way for the Lady Bears was senior Kenzie Williams with 18 points. Followed by another senior Tyonna Snow with 16 points.

“We just knew we needed to come out aggressive and trapping was making it be pretty aggressive. That’s what we needed to do to get them thrown off a little bit, and we did it pretty well,” said Tyonna Snow.

“Kind of leading up to it you think about it, before this game there is only three home games, now only two. It doesn’t really hit you at the time. The biggest thing is enjoying it with this team. This team is really special and it’s special to me for a ton of reasons. I think just enjoying the moment and not taking any of the games for granted that we have left,” said Kenzie Williams.
