SPRINGFIELD, Mo–Saturday afternoon, the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs will be shooting for their seventh girls basketball state championship.
The Lady Chiefs will play Kirkwood at 2:40p.m. at JQH Arena.

The Lady Chiefs pulled away in the second quarter and advanced to the title game.
Kirkwood whipped Liberty in the other semifinal 51-29.
Kickapoo coach Jim Pendergrass talked about the championship game before he knew his opponent.
“To me I don’t care. I’m just glad the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs are getting ready to play one more game. And its a championship game on Saturday. We’ll prepare for them. We had a great battle with Kirkwood in the championship game two years ago. And whether it’s Liberty or Kirkwood it’ll be a great contest,” said Pendergrass.
