“I knew my goal was to win a state championship,” said Hayley Frank.
Forget just one state title. Hayley Frank has two. And she’s looking for her third, as only a junior.
“All these memories that are just crazy. It’s so special what we have going on here and I don’t take it for granted. It’s just awesome,” said Hayley Frank.
Basketball’s a family business for Hayley, and it’s booming. Meet twin sister Kayley.
“I feel like we work together good. We’ve always played together. We always know where eachother is at and what our strengths and weaknesses are,” said Kayley Frank.
“I think in third grade when we were playing soccer is the only time we haven’t played on a team together. It’s really special to have a twin sister, we tend to find each other on passes and stuff a lot,” said Hayley Frank.
And don’t forget about Dad, also known as Coach.
“I remember after our first state championship, I had always listened how he had never won the state championship and I was like ‘we’ve got to change this’. And so it’s really special to accomplish these things together,” said Hayley Frank.
“Everybody used to tease me ‘what if they wanted to be cheerleaders’ well then they would be cheerleaders. They’ve made their own paths, they’ve made their own choices, I was just fortuante that basketball happens to be one of the loves of their life and we get to share that together,” said coach Steve Frank.
The Franks are big on family. So it’s no surprise why Hayley decided to verbally commit to now-No. 11 Mizzou last September.
“It was just a really good family atmosphere, the coaches, the girls and just everyone. That’s really what I was looking for. I just felt it in my heart and just went for it,” said Hayley Frank.
Hayley Frank has surpassed 2,000 career points. She has 2 state titles. And has Strafford on the second-longest win streak in Missouri history, while still a junior. Strafford fans, Missouri fans, basketball fans – any fans – enjoy this rare talent.
“We have so many people that don’t even have grandkids that come to our games and know everything about us and our so happy for us. Then you have the younger kids that have started to look up to us. Everyone here is just really awesome and I am so glad that I was able to come here,” said Hayley Frank.
