EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Missouri State’s offense and defense dominated the first half, pushing the Bears to a 68-56 win at Evansville on Wednesday.

Missouri State would outscore the Aces off turnovers 15-0 in the opening half while shooting 74 percent and taking an 18-2 run into the lockers.

The second half would go at a much slower pace.

Missouri State would not even score a basket until eight minutes into the half on a dunk from Tulio Da Silva.

The Bears defense held throughout, however, only allowing the Aces to get within eight as Missouri State carried the lead to the end.

Da Silva finished with a game high 17 points along with seven rebounds while Jarred Dixon and Ryan Kreklow posted 15 points a piece.

The Bears have now won six of their last seven games and are tied for second in the conference at 8-5, 14-12 overall.

They will look to carry momentum into Sunday when they travel to take on Valley No. 1 Loyola Chicago.

Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
