Drury Sweeps ‘Overflow the O’ Games

With nearly 3,000 fans on hand for ‘Overflow the O,’ the top-ranked Drury Lady Panthers put on a defensive clinic against Missouri-St. Louis Saturday in a 77-44 win at O’Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury forced 40 turnovers in 40 minutes, holding the visiting Tridents to just 9 points combined in the second and third quarters. The win puts the DU record at 23-0 overall and 13-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

The DU men completed the doubleheader sweep with an 84-68 win over UMSL. Conley Garrison (26 points) and Kamau Kinder (22 points) led the Panthers’ offensive effort, combining to make 12 of their 20 attempts from 3-point range. The Panthers improved to 14-10 overall and 8-5 in the GLVC.
