SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The busy weekend at the Q was capped off with a Missouri State Bears win on Sunday. But it certainly wasn’t easy as Mo State held off Indiana State 76-73.
The Bears were able to snap their two game skid. Led by Alize Johnson who had 21 points and 16 rebounds. A performance that got him the Valley Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
But late in the game it was Jarred Dixon’s runner that gave the Bears the go ahead score and helped lead to their 4th valley win.
“Lately the last couple days he’s (Coach Lusk) been talking about when adversity hits, you have to keep going. They hit a three in the corner and luckily we didn’t panic and made something happen. Continued to play basketball and it worked out,” said Jarred Dixon.
