Carpenter concludes hitless stay in Springfield, Cardinals fall 11-4


SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter finished his stay in Springfield Tuesday by going 0-1 in two at-bats with a walk.

He has now gone hitless through 21 rehab at-bats and now ships back to Memphis.

Springfield, meanwhile, gave up 10 runs in the 8th as they fell to Corpus Christi, 11-4.
