NIXA, Mo–The road to JQH Arena and a Missouri state high school basketball championship continued Tuesday night for the state’s Class 4 teams.
It was sectional play around the Show-Me State.
At Nixa, 20-8 Rogersville girls squared off with 23-3 Carl Junction.
The Wildcats won the Class 4 district 9 championship.
And Rogersville was up late in the third quarter, the court length pass to Maci McHenry and it’s an 18-9 Wildcat lead.
Carl Junction with a comeback, inside on the left side of the lane to Kaitlin Scott off the window it’s a six point deficit.
Rogersville trying to stay in front nice bounce pass to Shelby Ince and it’s a 22-18 Wildcat lead.
But Carl Junction was using its interior size advantage, the 6-2 Kaitlin Scott with another hoop, it’s a one point game.
Then with less than a minute left, Kate Dreiling with the three pointer, the Bulldogs in front 25-24, and Carl Junction advances to the quarters 27-24.
