Carl Junction Advances To 1st Championship Game


SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri state high school basketball state championships continued Friday at JQH Arena.

On the floor Friday afternoon, the Carl Junction Lady Bulldogs.

CJ in the Final Four for a third straight year but trying to advance to the championship for the first time.

Carl Junction facing Miller Academy out of St. Llouis.

Great ball movement in the first quarter for CJ, Kate Dreiling to Katie Scott, Bulldogs up 6-3.

Shila Winder draws two defenders, drops it off for Megan Scott who finishes.

Then some defense, Megan Scott grabs a loose ball, no hesitation, finds Winder open down low.

Kenzee Shanks kicks out to Katie Scott,  showing her range for the triple, she scores 27 points as Carl Junction advances to its first state championship game, 54-41.
