Cardinals Cruise Past Drillers For First Place In The North


SPRINGFIELD, Mo–After spliting their four game series at Northwest Arkansas, the Springfield Cardinals returned to Hammons field for a big series with the first place Tulsa Drillers. 

Before the game though great moment here, Bruce Miller is a first lieutenant in the army reserves and is back early from his 5th deployment, his latest in Afgahnistan to surprise his family. Bruce is the catcher for his kids throwing out the first pitch. Congrats to the Miller family and the special night.

As for the game the fourth inning was a good one for Springfield.

Cards up 4-3. Bases loaded when Victor Roache walks. That scores Ramon Urias. Its’ now 5 to 3.

Same inning and the pitcher still can’t find the strike zone. Edmundo Sosa takes ball four. Andrew Knizner taps the dish. Cards up 6-3.

But the bases were still loaded. That was until Randy Arozarena stepped to the plate. Crushes a grand slam to cap off a six run inning.

Cards win big 15-5.
