Bulldogs rough up Rogersville in state semis


SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri state high school basketball championships continued Friday in Springfield.

This weekend it’s the Class 4 and 5 championships.

And it was semifinal Friday with a trio of local teams in action.    

In Class 4 boys, Rogersville squared off with Grandview in a semifinal.

And the Bulldogs would jump out to a quick lead, Liashwuon Boston  with the 15 footer and it’s 6-2 Grandview.

The Dogs had some tough defense, Taj Manning with the swat here.

But Rogersville would regroup and get the offense going.

Cade Blevins with the three, but the Wildcats were still down by ten.

End of the first quarter, the Bulldogs Deandre Sorrells puts the ball on the deck and splits the defense for two, it’s 18-6 after one.

Rogersville taking it inside as well, Josh Linehan of the window, Wildcats still down by ten.

Then Wildcat sophomore Kanon Gipson splashes a three, but it wasn’t enough, Grandview beats Rogersville 66-42.
