Bears Prep For First Place Battle With Bulldogs

SPRINGFIELD, Mo–There are three teams tied for first at the top of the Valley and two of them square off Saturday at 3:00 p.m. As your 15-5 Missouri State Bears play at the 11-9 Drake Bulldogs.

Both teams are 5-2 in the conference and if last year’s games indicate anything the viewers should be in for a treat, cause the two regular season games last year were decided by a combined four points with each team winning a game.

“I mean there are so many games to be played yet, Dan.  I guess it’s nice to be in meaningful games.  But there are a lot of meaningful games.  It’s going to come down right to the end.  As we’ve talked about, there’s not much separation between any of us,” said Paul Lusk.

“It’s pretty cool because it’s a position that we really haven’t been in before.  It’ll be cool to battle for first place right now in this part of the Valley.  It’s a test to see if you want to stay in that spot or not.  Drake’s looking to do the same thing,” said Bears guard Jarred Dixon.
