Bears Fall To The Tigers In In-State Showdown


SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State Bears and Mizzou Tigers renewed their in-state rivalry on the baseball diamond Tuesday night. A matchup that has been all Bears lately, they’ve won six the last seven games in the series. 

The Bears have also won 11 of their last 12 games lately,     so they’ve been red hot. 

But it was the Tigers that came out swinging. Led by Zach Hanna. Who gets one past the infield. Two runs score. It’s 2-0 Tigers.

Still in the first, the line keeps moving. Alex Samples drops one into center field. Hanna comes around to score. It’s 3-0 after one.

To the third, Hanna doing it again at the plate. Cranks a solo homer. His third RBI of the game and it was only the third inning. That made it 4-0. 
But Jeremy Eierman would get the Bears going. He ropes a double, Hunter Steinmetz taps the dish.
The Bears fall though 8-6.
