SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State Bears will kick off the new season Thursday night in Stillwater.
In our Bear Nation report, the Bears will be facing the 25th ranked Cowboys.
It’s the annual money game, with Missouri State cashing a nice $400,000 check for the road trip.
Oklahoma State is in the Big 12, Missouri State in the FCS Valley Football Conference.
Despite the step up in competition, the Bears are fired up about playing the bigger school on national tv.
“It’s going to be fun. I’ve been blessed to have gotten to play in some really cool venues. Got to play at the Liberty Bowl. Got to play at Mizzou. This year, just getting to start off senior year in Boone Pickens Stadium. I’m just excited. I’m excited,” said Bears senior Jerod Beshore.
“It’s going to be tough. It’s going to be a loud crowd and everything. There’s going to be a whole bunch of people there. We’re going to be ready for the challenge and we’re just going to soak it all in and just be ready to play ball,” said Bears senior Jason Randall.
