Bears Draw Spartans in NCAA Tournament

Missouri State Volleyball is heading to the Big Dance.

Sunday the Missouri Valley champions celebrated at a watch party in Springfield, one night after sweeping Northern Iowa to capture the conference tournament title.

The Bears will pack for Omaha, where they will play Michigan State in the opening round Friday at 4 pm.

“Something that our senior class has really set in motion this year is we expect to win, and no matter who our opponent is, we want to go into the match not with an arrogance, but an air of confidence,” senior Lauren Boone said. “We deserve to here, and we’re going to make waves.”

“We’ve worked our tails off to get this far, and now we’re ready to make it past the first round and really show who Missouri State Volleyball is,” senior Brianne Dixon said.

This is Missouri State’s third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
