Alize Johnson’s Stellar Night Pushes Bears Past Panthers


SPRINGFIELD, Mo–The Missouri State Bears hosted Northern Iowa Thursday night. Looking to start out 3-0 in the Valley for the first time since 2011. 

In the first half Alize Johnson dishing to Obediah Church, who goes up and under for two. Bears up two.

The Panthers holding on to an early lead though. UNI pushing it up in transition. Wyatt Lohaus gets the layup. Panthers up 15-12.

After that Missouri State’s Alize Johnson would take over, a special night for him, going straight to the rack. Johnson finished with 24 points and 20 rebounds. Bears take a one point lead.

Still in the first Ronnie Rousseau firing from behind the arc. Bears now up 19-17.

Later, J.T. Miller count the basket off the spin move. 
Panthers made a late run but the Bears hold on to win 62-55.
