Alize Enjoying Draft Process

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The NBA draft will take place Thursday night in Brooklyn.

And fans in the ozarks will be paying attention to two familiar faces.

The first is Mizzou's Michael Porter Junior.

Many mock drafts have porter going to the Bulls as the seventh pick overall.

The other hopefull is Missouri State forward Alize Johnson.

Johnson was the Valley player of the year his junior season and was first team All-Valley his senior season.

He attended the NBA combine and worked out with a number of teams including the Celtics and Pacers.

He's trying to become the first Missouri State Bear to get drafted since Winston Garland in 1987.

And a few weeks ago talked with Indianapolis reporters about the process.

"It's a blessing getting out there and playing in the combine.  And then going to camp addidas nations.  Playing against these high level guys just shows that I belong and that I'm ready to compete against the best of the best.  I just grind out the process.  Keep working hard and bringing energy," said Johnson.
