Later in the second quarter, Mount Vernon gets the much needed response. Sammy Robinson on the ground for six. Mountaineers on the board 19-7.
Right when it seemed like Mount Vernon was getting momentum, the Houn’ Dawgs dial up the half back pass. Dunning to a wide open Kaden Clark 81 yards to the house. 25-7 Dawgs.

In the third quarter the Mountaineers, Ty Boswell looking to get his team back in it. How’s this 31 yard scamper with the tip toe to finish. Mount Vernon cuts it to 33 to 14.
But in the fourth quarter, Clark and the Dawgs would slam the door on the Mountaineers. The big fourth down stop. And Aurora takes down Mount Vernon 33-14.
“Great, it feels awesome. Just a great game and great experience. It was good, it shows everybody what we have. What we are actually made of, cause they were ranked ahead of us but now people will recognize,” said Kaden Clark.
“My line was blocking for me, I was able to get off the passes. The receivers were catching the ball. We were just driving on them and it was a good feeling. It’s awesome, the best feeling ever. I love it and I couldn’t do it without my brothers,” said John Dakota Lee.
