SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — In honor of the 75th anniversary of when the Japanese surrendered to the USA to end WWII, Springfield News-Leader Steve Pokin spoke with a man who was a young man during the surrender.

John Albert, 96, was 21 years old when he had duties that day as a radio man.
