SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Two men are in custody after one went to a golf course to shoot a man.

Springfield police got a call around 12:30 p.m. from residents who live near Springfield Golf and Country Club about a man with a gun. Police found two men with guns who were in a dispute with each other.

According to Springfield Police Lt. Tad Peters, no shots were fired and only threats were made between the two. Once police showed up, they found the first man and the man reported to have the gun started running towards a wooded area. Officers found him shortly after and both men were being questioned this afternoon.

The golf course had to pull golfers off the course until the incident was resolved. Police say they think this is part of an ongoing dispute between the men.
