BENTON CO., Mo. -- Two passengers in a vehicle were killed after an accident yesterday afternoon, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The vehicle, driven by 62-year-old Kurt Eisinger, was traveling on Highway H around 2:30 p.m. when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and then returned to the roadway. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a rock and overturned, coming to rest on the roadway.
Johnnie Adams, 64, and Barbara Adams, 66, both of Warsaw, Mo., were killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene.
Eisinger reported no injuries. The other passenger in the vehicle, a 5-year-old boy, was transported to Bothwell Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
Eisinger was arrested and transported to Benton County Jail. None of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
