Young children are suffering more eye injuries from playing with laundry detergent pods. A study in JAMA Ophthalmology says the number of chemical burns to the eye have increased more than 30 fold among pre school children. The injuries happen from detergent squirting into the eyes... Or leaking onto the child's hands.

Obese couples may have a harder time having children. A study at the Nation Institutes of Health found when both partners are obese, it can take almost 60-percent longer to get pregnant.

And medical marijuana may have potential for treating opioid addiction. A study at New York's Mount Sinai Hospital found that cannabis extracts can reduce cravings and ease the symptoms of heroin withdrawal. Researchers say the topic needs more attention in light of the opioid epidemic that's sweeping the country.
