SEYMOUR, Mo. – Students at Seymour schools have been evacuated to a tornado shelter safe room near the high school after the school district received a written bomb threat today.

A dispatcher with Webster County 911 said today that officials from Seymour police and fire departments as well as Webster County Sheriff’s Department were responding to the threat.

A bomb-sniffing dog also is being brought in to scan the school buildings, according to Janna Silvus.

A spokeswoman at the Seymour Elementary school told KOLR10 News all students have been released from classes, and busses have left to take riders home.  A few students remained at the shelter, waiting pick-up by their parents.
