Teen in Serious Condition after Being hit by Car in Camden County

LAKE OZARK, Mo- A teenager has been sent to the hospital after being hit by a car Tuesday morning.

According to a post on the Camden County Sheriff's Facebook Page, the accident happened Tuesday morning just before 8 a.m. in the 300 block of Four Seasons Drive in Lake Ozark.

The post states the accident happened when the 14-year-old ran into the path of a Ford Explorer. The teen is a member of the School of the Osage Cross Country Team.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls on the incident. The parents of the boy were on the scene when deputies arrived.

The teen was transported by Staff for Life to the University of Missouri Medical Center.
