BRANSON, Mo. -- This Saturday is supposed to have great weather for the Big Bass Tournament happening at Table Rock Lake.
On Friday, tournament organizers at Long Creek Marina are getting things ready because hundreds of anglers are expected to show up for the two day event. Amateur fisherman from 20 states and Canada are expected.
There's a weigh-in every hour starting on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. both days. Prize money is given for the top 10 largest fish, and technology has really enhanced the timing.
Scott Gordon, Big Bass Tournament Director says, "We have a live link to the leader board that we send to the anglers the day it begins so every time the angler crosses the stage with a bass it updates in real time so if you have a four pounder in your live well you can look at that on your iphone and you can think well it's taken 3-4 pounds just to get to 10th place so you may want to hold onto that. Sometimes during the day the weights have a tendency to drop, so you may want to hold that bass until hour five or six.
If you want to fish it's $110 dollar fee and you can do that until 10 p.m. on Friday. Top prize on Sunday is a brand new Mercury bass boat.
