SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A Springfield native runs 500 consecutive days to raise funds and awareness for Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Chase Snider, a Drury student, finished his 500th day of running last weekend.
He's logged over 2,000 miles, including 2 full marathons and one half marathon.
In that time Snider raised $7,500 for the children's charity and had to run about 2 miles each day.
He did hit a few snags on his journey. For example, when Snider's flight got canceled in Atlanta he actually ran between gates to continue his running streak.
