Report: Missouri Teen Charged After Puppy Thrown 100 Feet Off Tower

HOUSTON, Mo. - In Houston, Missouri, a teenager was charged with animal abuse after police say he and a juvenile bragged about throwing a puppy off a tower, killing it.

The Houston Herald reports the 17-year-old told Texas County deputies he carried the puppy to an old fire lookout tower on Highway 38.

He says the juvenile threw it 100 feet to its death then tossed it in a ditch nearby.

The sheriff's office was notified after the boys bragged about it at school.

The two are facing misdemeanor charges for that, and for stealing road signs.
