PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Crews battled a massive fire at a roofing company in Perryville, Missouri Thursday night.
Perryville Fire Chief Jeremy Tiller says the freezing temperatures made their job even tougher.
Chief Tiller, says, “Yeah, it definitely was a hard struggle this time of year when it’s super, super freezing cold weather. We’ve got ice everywhere, we’ve got firefighters falling. Luckily we’ve got MODOT out here that’s running around spreading salt and sand on the roadways, sand around the fire scene has been a big help for us.”
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. Workers believe it started in the building’s break room.
